a series of four print making workshops exploring cultural diversity which will include exhibiting during Culture Night Belfast.
The workshops will use the screenprinting technique. Screenprinting uses a woven mesh with an ink-blocking stencil. The image can be either autographic (hand-drawn) or photographic
Workshop one: participants will create images, patterns and cultural symbols (either 2nd September in ArtsEkta or 4th September in Arts for All)*
Workshop two: participants will print their designs (either 9th September in ArtsEkta or 11th September in Arts for All)
19th September 2014: Culture Night Belfast: work produced during the first two sessions will be collated into a banner which will be exhibited during Culture Night
Workshop three: participants will produce an image designed by the group (either 23rd September in ArtsEkta or 25th September in Arts for All)
Workshop four: the group image will be printed (either 30th September in ArtsEkta or 2nd October in Arts for All)
There will be an exhibition of the artwork from these workshops in Belfast Print Workshop Gallery and the John Luke Gallery in January 2015
The artist facilitator will be Lisa Malone, assisted by Faiza Afzal.
